These are challenging times. I wonder
How those people who don't write poetry
Manage to get through it?
In fact, if you want the whole truth,
I don't understand those people at all.
Why do they bother? Your body
Isn't the only thing that needs nourishment.
Your body is a house,
And there is a person living in that house.
That person needs nourishment,
The kind you only get from poetry, art, and music.

Is a god above?

Does it matter? Fresh blossoms

on my crepe myrtle.

I don’t drink, but maybe I should have some whiskey.

War goes on, nothing changes.

The poor remain hungry, the homeless sleep outside.

Nothing changes. Crying doesn’t help.

Businesses with more money and more power

Than entire countries rape the earth

Like evil soldiers raping villagers.

Millions of people just don’t have any rights.

This happens every single day.

Maybe it’s me that should change.

Bartender, single malt please, a double.

After all, I don’t drink.
