The farmland god.

What I stand for is what I stand on.

What is it to be a human
Tools, language
And the culture of craft
Among other things
Like love and sorrow
Laughter and music
And the cycles of being alive.

Actions conditioned by greed, hatred, and delusion bring a heavy burden of suffering. On the other hand, actions conditioned by generosity, lovingkindness, and wisdom lead to a light and happy sense of well-being. Simple as that.

Belief requires acceptance
And so it is that I can never believe
In conservative politics
For I refuse to accept
That money is more important
Than human need
Or human suffering
Or healing the good earth
Wealth is privilege
And privilege negates any hope for equality
Why would I ever accept something
That evil

It would not be much of a universe if it wasn't home to the people you love.

Ignore those people who want you to explain yourself.

If I believed in gods
I’d worship the god of the valley
The farmland god
She who is rich in soil
The god with the power
And strength and grace
To bend land, water, and sun
Into life itself
Life pulled forth from seed
And thus to feed us
From the bosom of the earth
That’s the god I’d worship
If I believed in gods

(for Robert Ramming, Turtle Island Farmer)
